Before I met you, I really thought “all midwives were created equal,” but you really have taught me so much along with how much empathy you have for all your moms. I had become unsure about how I was being treated at my provider’s office. I called Constance and was able to get an appointment quickly. After reviewing my records, she found my iron was low, my B vitamins were low, and I had been flagged for a 39 week induction (per their protocols)!
I was never informed of any of these things. My doctor didn’t say anything about induction. Every visit was a few minutes of them asking about my prenatals and saying things were ‘fine’. If I brought up an issue they would wave it off. Nothing was addressed.
I’m so glad we switched to Sunshine Midwifery! My appointments are more in depth, focused on mine and my baby’s health. No induction required but plenty of checks to ensure we’re safe! I finally felt heard.
